Wscripted is the literary marketplace for women writers and entertainment professionals looking to develop content written by women. The newly launched platform was built out of a desire to create a space for women storytellers and decision-makers to develop content written by women. With women writers representing only 20% of scripts being produced in a $113 billion dollar industry, the platform feels timely and necessary as Hollywood strives to incorporate more diverse voices both in front of and behind the camera.
Our platform will be a sanctuary for female discussion around storytelling in film & TV and career development for women writers in different languages.
Wscripted is designed for women storytellers (writers, screenwriters, novelists and playwrights) looking to be discovered by an executive and option their script or IP for the screen, and decision-makers (agents, executives, producers and directors) looking to discover and develop content written by women and hire women writers. The platform is a membership based marketplace featuring a keyword database of members, script and adaptation project details with more advanced features to be announced in 2021.
